Summer Party · In-Person · Kachatelier, Windhof
Summer party season deserves better than a standing buffet in a car park. A private kitchen, a bold cuisine, and a team that cooks and eats together — that's a summer event worth showing up for.

ChefPassport runs interactive cooking classes for corporate summer parties in Luxembourg — groups of 8–40 at the Kachatelier studio in Windhof, ~20 minutes from Luxembourg city. Every team member makes, tastes and shares bold seasonal dishes under a real chef's guidance, with optional cocktail workshops to start the evening. Fully hosted, fully managed, completely different from a standard BBQ.
Standard summer BBQs have people standing around waiting for food. A cooking class has everyone involved — making it, tasting it, competing over it. The energy is completely different.
Summer menus call for bold, fresh, vibrant flavours. Tex-Mex empanadas, Thai green curry with fresh herbs, Korean BBQ Bulgogi — these cuisines were made for warm evenings and social tables.
A cocktail workshop as an arrival activity turns a summer cooking class into a full evening event. Guests mix their welcome drinks, then head to the kitchen — the party starts from minute one.
A summer party Luxembourg event built around cooking gets everyone involved from the first minute — slicing, mixing, tasting, talking — instead of standing around a grill waiting for someone else to finish. Shared tasks create natural conversation across departments and seniority levels. Introverts work alongside extroverts without forced icebreakers. The food becomes the focus, and the team bonding happens as a side effect.
Summer menus lean into bold, fresh flavours: charred corn for Tex-Mex empanadas, lime and coriander in Thai green curry, sesame and ginger for Korean BBQ bulgogi bowls. Everyone leaves with new skills, full bellies, and stories about who made the best batch or who nearly set fire to their wok. It's energetic, social, and far more memorable than another catered buffet.
Teams arrive at Kachatelier in Windhof to find workstations prepped with fresh ingredients, knives, pans, and recipe cards. If you've added a cocktail workshop, the evening starts with muddling mint for mojitos or shaking margaritas — guests drink what they make while the chef introduces the menu.
The cooking portion runs for around 90 minutes. The chef demonstrates each technique — how to fold an empanada, balance heat in a curry paste, caramelise bulgogi marinade — then teams replicate it at their stations. Music plays, questions fly, and the studio fills with the smell of toasted spices, sizzling garlic, and charred lime. Someone always surprises themselves by nailing a technique they thought was too advanced.
Once the dishes are plated, everyone sits together at a long table to eat family-style. The chef pours wine, and teams compare results, trade bites, and relax into conversation. The atmosphere shifts from focused energy to easy celebration. Clean-up is handled by the ChefPassport team — guests leave with recipes, photos, and zero admin.
This format suits teams of any mix: remote colleagues meeting face-to-face for the first time, hybrid squads celebrating a quarterly win, local Luxembourg offices marking the end of a project sprint. Leadership groups book it for strategy offsites that want a social capstone. HR and operations teams choose it for employee reward events that feel personal, not transactional.
Introverts appreciate the structure — you're never just standing around making small talk, because there's always a task in hand. Mixed-seniority groups relax faster when everyone's equally inexperienced at folding dumplings. Dietary requirements (vegan, gluten-free, halal, allergies) are handled in the planning stage, so no one feels left out on the day.
If your team's energy peaks in the evening and you want something more dynamic than a sit-down dinner, this works. If your company has hosted the same summer BBQ three years running and you need something different, this works too.
Location & access: Kachatelier is in Windhof, a 20-minute drive from Luxembourg city centre, with free on-site parking. The studio is wheelchair accessible. Teams coming by bus or shared transport find the location straightforward; we send detailed directions with every booking confirmation.
Group sizes & pricing: We host groups from 8 to 40 people. Package pricing starts at €2,900 for intimate teams (8–10), €3,600 for small teams (11–15), €4,200 for mid-size groups (16–20), €4,900 for standard groups (21–25), €5,500 for large teams (26–30), €6,100 for big groups (31–35), and €6,700 for full-venue bookings (36–40). Duration: A standard summer cooking event runs 2.5 to 3 hours, including cooking, dining, and drinks. Add a cocktail workshop at the start and the event extends to 3.5 hours. We adapt timing to fit your schedule — early evening (18:00 start) is most popular for summer staff parties.
Dietary requirements: Share dietary needs (vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, halal, allergies) when you book. The chef adjusts recipes and preps alternative ingredients so every guest cooks and eats the same core dishes. No one gets a sad side salad while everyone else enjoys the main menu.
Booking process: Use the in-person booking page to configure your event and receive an instant quote, or email us with your preferred date, group size, and any menu preferences. We typically respond within four hours. Once confirmed, we handle ingredients, equipment, dietary coordination, and facilitation. You just bring your team.
ChefPassport has run corporate cooking classes in Luxembourg for clients including Amazon, Deloitte, JP Morgan, and the ECB since 2019. Every event is led by a professional chef who manages the experience end-to-end — not a facilitator reading a script. Post-event surveys average 4.9 out of 5.
The logistics are invisible to guests: ingredients arrive fresh the morning of the event, workstations are set up before teams walk in, dietary requirements are built into the menu, and clean-up happens while teams are still chatting over wine. Organisers get one point of contact, one invoice, and zero last-minute surprises. That reliability matters when you're coordinating calendars across departments or hosting executives who expect things to simply work.
Summer parties need energy, flavour, and a reason for people to stay longer than the obligatory hour. A cooking class delivers all three — and teams leave talking about what they made, not what they sat through.
