A guided walk through Luxembourg's winter markets followed by a private cooking session where your team prepares and shares a festive seasonal meal. Designed for busy HR teams who want a December event that's social, inclusive and completely handled—from the market itinerary to the menu, chef and bilingual hosting.
A guided festive market tour followed by a hands-on cooking class in a private venue. One booking, one itinerary, fully coordinated by ChefPassport and local partners.
Led by a ChefPassport chef and a local market guide, both fluent in English and French. The session adapts to your team's language mix—no one is left out.
Winter vegetables, spiced salads, hearty mains and warm desserts. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other requirements are built in from the start—everyone cooks and eats the same dishes.
This is a half-day festive experience for teams who want more than drinks in a hotel. You'll explore Luxembourg's winter market together—guided by a local partner who knows the best stalls and seasonal stories—then gather in a private venue for a hands-on cooking session led by a professional ChefPassport chef.
The market walk is paced, social and optional for anyone who prefers to join directly at the cooking venue. The kitchen session runs 2–3 hours, with a seasonal menu designed around festive flavours: roasted vegetables, spiced winter salads, hearty mains and warm desserts. Teams cook in small groups, then sit down together to eat what they've made.
We coordinate both elements, handle dietary requirements across the menu, arrange the venue and chef, and run the session in English, French or both. You book one package; we deliver the full itinerary.
Most December events are passive—a meal, a toast, a speech. This format keeps people moving, talking and working together. The market walk breaks the office rhythm and gives colleagues who don't usually spend time together a reason to chat. The cooking session creates shared tasks, laughter when someone burns the garlic, and a meal everyone contributed to.
It works especially well for international teams. Cooking doesn't rely on fluency or cultural reference points; the ingredients and the task are the common language. Introverts often find it easier to talk while chopping than across a dinner table. And because the format is active, it suits teams who've sat through too many static presentations this year.
Research links face-to-face team events to stronger workplace networks, higher belonging and better engagement—all of which matter in Luxembourg's unusually distributed workforce, where 47% of employees are cross-border workers and 27.3% sometimes work from home. A December event can be the only time some colleagues meet in person all quarter.
The market walk typically runs 60–90 minutes in the early afternoon; the cooking session follows immediately or after a short break, depending on your schedule and the venue location. We can arrange both in central Luxembourg City or adapt the itinerary if your team is based elsewhere in the Grand Duchy.
Group sizes from 8 to 40 work well. Larger teams can be split across two cooking stations or staggered start times. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other dietary requirements are built into the menu from the start—no one cooks a separate dish or feels like an exception.
We provide the chef, all ingredients, equipment, aprons and recipes to take home. The market walk is hosted by a local guide (partner concierge service) who speaks English and French. If you need the cooking session in Luxembourgish or German, let us know at the enquiry stage and we'll confirm availability.
Pricing depends on group size and menu complexity. As a guide, expect from €2,900 for an intimate group of 8–10, rising to €6,700 for a full venue of 36–40. Request a tailored quote and we'll send a fixed-price proposal within 24 hours, including both the market walk and the cooking session.
We've run cooking-based team events for 200+ companies since 2019, including Amazon, Google, Deloitte and the ECB. Every session is led by a professional chef—not a facilitator reading a script—and designed around real, seasonal ingredients.
For this package, we coordinate the market walk partner, confirm the cooking venue, design the menu, deliver the ingredients, brief the chef and host the session. You make one enquiry; we handle the rest. That end-to-end coordination is especially useful in December, when internal event organisers are already managing year-end logistics, office closures and competing calendars.
If your team is distributed across Luxembourg, France, Belgium and Germany—or if some colleagues work fully remote—we can also offer a virtual cooking alternative so everyone can take part.
