ChefPassport runs virtual hybrid team building cooking classes for companies with split teams — some colleagues in the office, others at home. A professional chef hosts live via Zoom or Microsoft Teams, guiding both groups through the same menu in real time. Ingredient kits are shipped to home addresses; office clusters can share a single delivery or use ingredients sourced locally. Works for 10 to 500+ participants across any mix of locations.
A group in the office cooks together around a shared screen, while remote employees cook at home. Both groups follow the same chef live — everyone eats the same meal at the end.
Every participant cooks from their own kitchen. Ingredient kits delivered to all home addresses. The most common setup for truly global hybrid teams.
Multiple office locations, each with their own screen, plus individual remote workers. Our event producer manages coordination across every node simultaneously.

By cuisine
Pick the cuisine that fits your team — every menu adapts to the group.
Hybrid teams are the hardest to engage. In-office employees cluster around a screen, often distracted or half-listening. Remote workers feel secondary — the audio's bad, the camera angle's awkward, and they're muted in the corner. Most virtual events optimise for one group or the other, never both.
Cooking solves this because everyone has the same task and the same ingredients. The chef addresses the whole group as peers. Remote participants aren't passengers; they're chopping, stirring, plating. Office teams cook collaboratively around a shared worktop, but they follow the same instructions as their colleagues at home. When you reconvene to eat, everyone's made the same dish. That levels the playing field in a way a quiz or a talk never can.
Your team logs into a single Zoom or Microsoft Teams room. The chef welcomes everyone — office groups and individuals — then walks through the menu and checks that kits have arrived. Mise en place first: garlic peeled, onions diced, herbs picked. The chef demonstrates each step on camera, then gives the group time to catch up.
Office clusters work at their own pace, often dividing tasks. Someone handles the sauté pan, another preps garnish. Remote participants cook solo but stay visible on screen, asking questions in real time. The chef pauses, troubleshoots, adjusts heat or seasoning. You'll hear sizzling, smell browning butter, see steam rising from pots in a dozen kitchens.
Plating is quick and personal — a swirl of sauce, a scatter of herbs. Teams share photos in chat. Then everyone eats together on camera, still connected. The session typically runs 75–90 minutes, start to finish.
This format is built for companies navigating permanent hybrid work. You have a London office with twelve people, plus eight in Manchester, plus twenty dotted across Europe and North America. Or your leadership team is half in Luxembourg, half remote. Or you're onboarding a distributed cohort but want the in-office group to feel included, not privileged.
It works for mixed seniority — interns cook alongside directors — and for introverts who'd rather focus on a task than perform on camera. The structure is clear, the activity is absorbing, and no one has to improvise small talk while unmuted. Virtual team building for new teams uses the same logic: shared effort, low social pressure, tangible output.
Group size and pricing: We run hybrid events for 10 to 500+ participants. TeamCook (up to 20 guests) starts from €800 total; Cookinar (21–60 guests) from €1,400; CookCast (60–120+ guests) from €2,500. Larger or more complex configurations require a tailored quote. Request a quote with your office/remote split and we'll design the setup.
Platform and tech: We host on Zoom or Microsoft Teams, whichever your company uses. One meeting link for everyone. Office groups need a large screen, a webcam that captures the cooking area, and a microphone. Our event producer joins early to test audio and coordinate breakout logistics if you're running multiple office clusters.
Ingredient kits: Remote participants receive kits at their home address. Office teams can have a shared kit delivered to the office address, or we can arrange multiple kits if your office group is large and wants to split into smaller stations. All ingredients, equipment, and recipe cards are included. We handle dietary requirements — vegan, gluten-free, kosher, halal — individually.
Lead time: Book at least two weeks ahead for domestic UK or Luxembourg deliveries, three to four weeks if you have participants across Europe, North America, or further. We coordinate timezones and delivery windows so kits arrive one to two days before the event. Rush delivery is sometimes possible; ask when you enquire.
We've run hundreds of virtual team building cooking classes since 2019, including hybrid configurations for Amazon, Deloitte, and distributed teams at the European Central Bank. Our satisfaction score averages 4.9 out of 5 in post-event surveys, and we respond to email within four hours.
Every event is hosted by a professional chef who manages the session live — not a facilitator reading a script. They adapt in real time: slower for beginners, deeper technique for confident cooks, troubleshooting when someone's hob runs cold or a package arrives incomplete. Our operations team handles logistics across borders, currencies, and dietary restrictions so you don't coordinate couriers or chase missing deliveries.
Hybrid work is permanent. This format treats your entire team as one group, not two tiers. They cook, eat, and connect on equal terms — no matter where they're sitting.
